Headlight condensation

Bought a brand new set of oem headlights about two weeks ago. Had them painted.. No issues. Lights have been rained on, truck has been washed several times. Last night I realized condensation was building in the bottom of one light. Fml. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a good fix?

My guess would be you'll have to separate the light, dry out all moisture, then close it back up and make sure it is sealed well :shrug:

What Greg said. You're gonna have to open them up and dry them out, then reseal them like crazy
 
If your totally against opening them, I guess you could try to just take the headlight off the truck, remove bulbs, then stick q-tips or rags in to soak up the main water, then hold a hairdryer to it for a little bit till all the moisture is gone

I do that with my parking light. Tilt the light one way to pool water, soak it up, and blow dry

Maybe you could put a bunch of those silica gel drying packets in there. Idk though
 
It dried up on its own. I'm going to just seal it up with silicon all the way around, and where the bulbs click in. Thanks for the help.

i wouldnt put it in the light, but if you sealed a light up in a bag with them or a cordless dehumidifier then that would work. ive done that with my camera before
 
Is it ok to seal up even that little tube vent that headlights have? Thought that's how heat escapes...

Don't just seal up where the bulb goes in. i've had this problem before with my turn signal lights, as well as the lights on my sisters equinox. took the lights off dried em out and ran clear silicone all around the seal of the light and it seals em up. I have done this to my turn signals, my corners, and my sisters headlights. Haven;t had a problem on my headlights (knock on wood) but when i remove the grille again i will probably do them as well. Honestly i didnt even seal where the bulbs go in. not really needing to

Sounds good.. This is what I was planning on doing. The condensation kills me.. Louisianas humidity is terrible too
