Flowmaster 50?

As said 50's will drone but not nearly as bad as the 40 series. If you don't want any drone but still want the good exhaust note I'd go Magnaflow. The others Ginger threw out are probably good, too, but I've never any other aftermarket muffler other than Flowmaster and Magnaflow to give you a first hand review.

I like my Cherry Bomb Extreme, it is pretty loud tho, it doesnt drone at any speed.

For some reason..when I hear the brand cherry bomb I picture a redneck, with a mullet, smoking a cig, in an 80s iroc camaro, and its portrayed like a commercial lmao (i haz a vivid imagination)..nothing against the exhaust just what comes to mind
I have a flowmaster 40 on mine, drones like crazy and not what I wanted but I already had it and its just gonna be on until I get lts

Thanks Ginger will deffinatly look into those, I am going to try and stay within my budgit though, whatever fits my pocket book better. I have heard a lot aout Magnaflow, never had one though

Not sure what your budget is but you can get a Magnaflow for pretty cheap. I got the Magnaflow that's on my Suburban off Amazon for less than $100.

I have a short (18") dynomax super turbo. If you know mufflers, its a turbo style, one of the quietest styles. Its still more than the stock exhaust and sounds perfect for me. Could be hair louder. I heard Khaos truck a few weeks back and it sounded real nice with a magnaflow

I know and most ask why i put a glass pack on my truck when they ask what kind of muffler I have and tell them Cherry bomb.

My magnaflow straight flow sounds pretty good for me. Sounded good before and after LT's. Bought it from summit for like 80 bucks

also dont forget if you are welding this in on your own to get a section of pipe, i know its an obvious thing but i had to drive 30 miles for my pipe because i was excited to put my muffler on and forgot it at home

Magnaflow FTW. I get compliments on how my 5.3 RCSB sounds regularly.

You can't go wrong with an intake either. Look on Craigslist for a used one, clean it up, recharge the oiled filter and you've got a good intake.

Intakes just add to the sound of the exhaust more than anything :imo:.

Agreed. Check Craigslist and I'm sure you can find a few locally.

As mentioned, magnaflow will give you a nice sound with minimal drone. I have an 18" magnaflow and it only drones around 2k rpm when there's a load on the engine in 5th gear (i.e. hills, towing, fat chicks, etc).

Got mine off of summit for $85 and welded it up myself.
