Well I've finally decided to pull the plug and slowly start working on my 2016 GMC Sierra. Plans as of now is to drop it on 24's change out the grill, a little color matching, and possibly change out the lower valence. I just want a nice look nothing big. Has anybody had any luck going 4/6 without notching the frame? One guy on ig says he's 5/8 with no notch is there any truth to that?

I don't see how you could go 8" without a notch.

Lower yours and maybe Mike will grow a pair.
Fuck off.

And I've seen a few guys running 5/8 no notch as well. Some have helpers, some don't. I know James has a 4/6 no notch and he said it's fine on his nnbs. I'd prefer not to notch mine just yet lol.

haha wuz good mike? I guess you still haven't lowered yours since we last spoke on ig a few months ago..
tiller what kit did you go with?

I think the new trucks are different than nnbs but rcsb vs ccsb is whole different conversation. My nnbs is 7 in rear an I definitely need a notch. This pic is before helpers. They help a lot but I still hit frame from time to time

you have the part number? did you do install?

I think the brackets are different from nnbs to 14+ if you do helpers get an onboard air compressor. I can't imagine not having it. I paid 400 for the helper kit and 200 for the compressor kit. Yes I did the install. Very easy. Best to do it as you are putting the drop on since it'll be apart already

ok. what did you do up front for drop components control arms?

Went to go upgrade my exhaust today, sadly didn't happen guy made me second guess myself. What can you all tell me about the resonator? Do I need it? Will it drop back pressure? Will it help in being able to hear my exhaust? Will I throw a check engine light?

I've got a catback, no resonator, no flapper valve, none of that stock BS from that coffee can sized catalytic converter back. No engine lights.

Can't tell you if anything improved or was negatively impacted since I put mine on with less than 12 miles on the odo lmao

What the heck is a flapper valve I've been reading a bunch on that as well?

Like Mike said, my 4/6 is fine with no notch or helpers. Once I start using this truck to tow, I'll get some helpers for it.
