Electric paddle switches with no air tank just wired to the compressor. Does anybody know anyting about that? How well it works? Any videos? Just anything

It's my understanding that in a bagged setup, your switches are actually wired to solenoids that control airflow. Each bag has 2 assigned solenoids - one to air up, and one to air down. 8 solenoids total - 4 switches.

If you're looking at airing up 4 bags with a single compressor, you can't control how much pressure is in each individual bag, and you'll still need some sort of manifold with solenoids to air down. IMO, "Basic" bag setups include an air tank and a proper manifold for a very good reason, and I think trying to shortcut it will create more headaches than anything.

Right. I know about that type of setup but there is other setups without solenoids ones without air tanks that use electric paddle switch setup like these. Which I was looking use I just dont see much info or guys using.

I see, the switches actually have air lines run to them to release. Yeah that could work, but I feel like you're looking at an air compressor for each switch in that case.

Are you trying to bag your truck, or add helper bags?

Yea looking to bag it but even tho it's a big truck I'm still limited on room and money

Like I mentioned before, the only issue I see with a 2 switch setup, is the lack of control over the pressure in each individual bag. And I get that money's tight, but it's one of those things that makes me feel like you should hold off and save so you can afford something a little more traditional. I just worry that the results of a half-assed setup will just end up disappointing you. You don't even necessarily need an air tank for a "bagged" setup. I'm sure there are ways that you can "DIY" a bag setup and save money along the way.

I'm not too half ass it or necessarily be cheap just need something simple thats not gonna take up room and cost a bunch

Ok so I found these thanks to chassis tech. I think I'm gonna roll with it. It's simple but I'm sure I'll end up changing it up down the road

if you dont have a air tank, it is going to take you 15 min with the switch in the open position to just get aired up enough to drive.

Air tanks are needed for the instand agjustment.

Trust me i have been down this road, dont cheap out or skip things, or it wont be right, and you wont drifve the truck anymore.

also if you have all the bags tied to one switch, it is going to look goofy when aired up.

it will have a bunch of rake, because the front weighs more then the rear, and it will lean to the drivers side because of the driver and the gas tank weight

so it will look like you broke a drivers front spring.

This is one of those threads where someone posts up looking for advice as to whether or not they should proceed with the cheap half-assed approach, and when told "no, don't half ass it, you'll run into ___________ problems." The reply is "aiight, I'mma do it anyway, and that shit won't happen to me."

I used to bash my head against the wall about it, now I just let them go and do whatever they wanna do, and ignore the advice they asked for.

been there done that. hence why my OBS has been sitting in the garage/barn for over 10 years.

Lesson was dont cheap out to the point that is isnt done right. certain things are what i consider requirements, and ill inform of my lesson learned and hope that it is recieved.

the main lesson with bagging a truck, dont expect it to happen fast, and dont cheap out. you dont have to buy top dollar everything but air tanks etc are a requirement.

Well Oktain I had no! intention on halfassing shit! I posted asking about a type of setup that is usable possibility I just hadnt see much about it. I was looking for constructive info not somebody's smart ass mouth! I never said it was going to be ran off one switch btw. It would be 2 switches 1 for front and 1 for back. Yes I know it wouldn't be fast which I'm not worried about but it wouldn't take more than 2 or 3 min to totally air up all 4. Thanks tho

it wll take more then that time to air up unless your using a engine driven compressor.

Trust me. i have a bagged truck. electric compressors take a while to fill things.

Put a air tank some where.....anywhere.....

If you want i can make you a deal on a switch box so you can control all 4 corners since i upgraded to a wireless one.

then you just have to buy solenoids for it.

and not to be a dick. but not having a air tank, or each corner controllable. kinda is half assing it.

ok I guess I haven't been specific enough. I'm not really looking to play with the switches or build a show truck I mostly just need to be able to adjust ride height. I like to be low but that doesn't always work on all roads. I understand what you are saying I'm not necessarily new to the game either I was just looking for some input on the setup. Thank you

Baggin is exactly what you are talking about, guys that want to be low but need the adjustment for the roads.

So at the end of the day the right setup is the right setup weather you are at a show or daily driving it.

go ahead and half ass it if you would like. because no air tank is half assing it, i dont care what you say. but dont be upset when you have something sitting or getting beat to hell because it wasnt done correctly.
