I have heard about doing a body drop, I was wondering what all it consists of.
The before and after pictures.
The pros and cons.
Price.
I don't know much at all about it. If someone could inform me, that would be greatly appreciated. Pictures will help too. Thanks in advance guys!

There's this thing called Google...it's pretty awesome for such general questions.

BUT. A body drop, in basic terms, is cutting and sectioning the floorpan, bed, mounts, etc around the frame. Basically you're bringing the frame up into the truck further. It's hard to explain, but it's ALOT of work. Takes major fab skills or lots of trial and error

I did google it, but all I could get was like pictures, and how to do it yourself. I'm not gonna be doing it. Just trying to do research and trying to get peoples personal opinions and experiences with it.
Thanks for the info on that.
Do you happen to know a typical price range on such would be?

It's a lot of work. Cutting floors, bigger tubs, more stuff to relocate under the hood. In most cases you have to narrow your front and rear track widths or have billet wheels.

Cutting off and moving or remaking your cab and bed mounts, raising transmission tunnel, bed floor.

I don't even want to think what a shop charges for a body drop.

Last i asked it was 5k for body drop

would recommend stock floor body drop btw this is what i will be doing, also you need to make sure you have your suspension all figured out first. you do not want to have to try and re-do something after said body drop

I was told about $1k per 1" for a BD on my truck by a local shop... and extra for the special bed floor I wanted and front tubs.... I was going to have a stock floor BD done...
