Anyone educated on video cameras for homes security?

Well, after my current issues I am debating on running a couple cameras, also, a couple cars have been vandalized or broken into lately. Someone got their Nitro's taillight stolen yesterday (what the fuck?).

I am looking for something small, so it isn't obvious. Not to hide it really, but just so it doesn't look tacky. Also, very high quality, and good for little to no light.

Costco has some decent setups IMO, not sure if you have one around you but it's a complete kit, comes 4 cameras and a DVR.

Those cameras aren't too bad size wise, and smaller cameras mean 1 of 2 things, more money for same quality or lower quality for same price. IMO
