Been a while since I did a build thread. Sold my F-150 the other day and bought the truck I was trying to buy before I got the F-150
Some of you may remember this truck. It is Brians old truck.

06 Sierra CCSB Z71.

First thing I did was remove and sell the Ranch Hand full replacement bumpers since I'm not a fan of them.

Had a hard time tracking down a front bumper for this truck. Ended up having to drive a ways and picked up a front and rear off a 06 model for 400 bucks complete.
Of course it was blue so I had to repaint.

So far I've taken off the cupped trail grapplers and put on Toyo AT2, got the truck cleaned and polished, ordered front end parts to fix the loose steering, and some odds and ends to get it right.

How much MPGs did you pick up by removing the ton of steel from the bumpers?

Big difference already.
 
You know I love this thing. One of the few trucks that I have always missed. I am excited that you got it and someone who will take care of it owns it now. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

BTW here's the mods list from when I had it...

Rough Country leveling kit (with all new shocks)
Dynomax Race bullet dumped over the axle with 6" tip
StrokerAce custom PCM tune
Husky Liners front and rear
Spray-in Bed Liner
Front windows tinted to match factory rear tint
2003 Silverado Tail lights (all red so that they match the truck better)


Also... WHEN you go to sell it I want first dibs.

Not much change since the truck is getting some front end parts installed on it.

Went to pick and pull yesterday and picked up some parts I needed.
Picked up some drivers door actuators and latch combo since that's the only way you can buy them and they are like $130 each. Got 6 of those.
A couple escalade interior handles
Misc plastic plugs for doors
Steering wheel control buttons
Painted flares
All for $41 bucks

I guess colormatching will be happening sooner than later now.
 
Getting rid of those bumpers was the best thing you could ever do for that truck. Interested to see where this goes
