06 to 03-05 grill swap

Has anyone ever swapped to the older grill? I want to try this look on my truck if it won't be a hassle. Will the grill bolt up without a ton of issues or will I have to buy a bunch of new stuff? I think the bulged hood and single bar grill would look good. Thanks for any help
 
It looks good from a distance but there will be a small gap at the top of the grille mesh and on each side where the grille meets the hood. I wanted to do this for years on my 03 but the gaps would have bothered me so i ended up doing the grille aswell.
