contemplating dropping to an OEM 20" wheel setup. Lot of options on FB marketplace in DFW. Ideally i'd find a set of my model year but all sets seem to be have significant chipping. Opinions appreciated.
Milestone reached.
150,000 miles
138,000 of those have been tuned
100,000 on the PowerStop Z23 Brakes (rears are OK, front's getting new pads)
55,000 on Toyo AT3's 285/55R22
JBA Offroad UCA's to correct balljoint angle and get them off of the spring
Was going to recommend finding a C rated 33-34" tire to run to maybe alleviate the need to regear but i vaguely remember the 4L60 not being very forgiving. Hell i drove my old truck in 3rd when around town.
All it takes is a wash for me to second guess getting rid of it. Considering a good detail - cut and polish - to really bring it back. It really has held up well after 11.5yrs though just from semi-regular washes and off the shelf products.
I've been putting off getting UCA's for my current...
kicking the tires on a Explorer ST - 400hp grocery getter. 500hp+ for about $1700 via tune/intercooler. Something different. My concern is going to a midsize SUV from an interior space aspect. Measurements are only 1-2" smaller than the Sierra so may not be much of a squeeze as i'd anticipate.
