Cut the hanger off my OE forward pipe and welded it to the muffler and it lined up perfect. I re-bent the hanger after this pic so it would hold better. An adapter let it go into the muffler and then I put a wide band clamp over that. Looks like dooky but sounds great. So I got up under it...

So that next Friday, I put the truck up on the lift thinking I'd throw it on and it would take minimal mods to do so... First sign of danger...the tailpipe is quite a bit different... Yep, tailpipe is alot different. It hit my 5th wheel plate, no biggie there, I just heated that section up...

Showed up, dude is a super nice guy. Big car guy, old bracket racer. He'd bought his buddy's '06 Yukon Denali XL to part out after it'd had a dash fire. He thought this was stock exhaust and it was so dirty you couldn't see the Corsa logo on the tip. But I picked up the muffler to look through...

The same day I did the boards, I also added some stake pocket plugs and some additional weather stripping at the headgate to better seal with the tonneau They were a little oversized, but nothing a little trim wouldn't fix Did all 4 corners, much better I'd also been on the lookout for...

About 3hrs later and the were on. These actually turned out great, the boards are extruded aluminum, very light but very strong. And the brackets have tons of adjustment, up and down on the brackets and in/out at the board. Was able to get them tucked up pretty well, very pleased with the way...

This SOB is tall now too and I'm short so I'd been on the lookout for some steps. AMPs aren't in the cards so I'd decided on N-fabs, I see them everywhere, they look pretty good and people online love them. Found a set for these trucks 2.5hrs away in northern Alabama, so me and the GF...

So then a couple days later I got started on these. Ya just pop the vents out and pull them apart Gotta grind down the little "grabs" on the middle tab. I used a bench grinder and just did a little at a time, test fitting the new grab till it fit nicely Then just put the vents back...

Also finally swapped all my interior lights for LED Here you can see my little "humps" where I got the bezel too hot and also the new crack 1" to the left  I also scored a bunch of AC vent knobs from various GM SUVs, I think GMC Terrains and Buick Enclaves were the main ones. That way...

The other Buick knob has a much larger register. So you need to pull the metal insert out and then cut that back to the same length as the shorter one I realized later, this one also has a longer light register/pointer that needs to be cut. I have yet to do that, so one knob sticks out...

In between all the painting, I swapped in my new LED door lights. The old one on the pass side was siliconed on unfortunately And installed the Denali handles And worked on the AC knob swap. The Buick knobs have 2 different sized registers. For one of them, you have to pull the Silverado...

Came out pretty darn good. It's probably ~1 shade darker but looks great in the truck. I did have 1 section of the woodgrain delaminate on me right above the radio though. So I think this bezel will get used to experiment with other ideas and I'll find another cuz I really like the Denali...

So the PTM pieces just got washed and stuck in the shed for now. I did the interior stuff the same day I painted the mirror caps The Denali bezel was a bit rough in the silver center section and also had a split on the top (come to find out, they all do this) So first I tried to plastic...

Then I stopped by another yard that primarily deals in GM trucks and scored a few more goodies. Denali bezel for $50 Denali door switch bezels for $50 Rendevous A/C knobs fo free And an "Esky Platinum" wheel. It actually came out of an '06 GMC Envoy Denali, but not all Denali's have...

Since we're talking about it, here's some of my junkyard scores. May/June was a heavy junkyarding time, looking for samples for work, I ended up benefitting from it too lol. Full set of smooth flares off a 'burb, the front's are identical, the rears are like 1/8" fatter in the rear corner, need...

Yeah, planning to PTM most of it. '06/07 hood/grille, upper pad, flares, Esky handles and rear plastics (may just do the top pads and leave the bottom black, like Bgray had on his RCSB). I've already got an OE smooth '07 front pad and full set of smooth flares from the junkyard and Esky's from...

Ended up doing 5 coats of paint and the last 2, I would spray and immediately run them into the office in the A/C where it was drier. That seemed to work pretty well A storm was rolling in so I decided I'd just get a tarp to lay down and spray the clear in the office lol It worked great...

Back in June I finally got around to doing the mirrors. Managed to get the caps off and only busted a couple of the clips Stuck them on the truck to test Then primer Then paint. It was so humid, I was having a hell of a time getting the paint to not haze

    post your boxes

Yep. The lack of depth kinda sucks with these compared to "professional" boxes but being modular more than makes up for it IMO
