    Huck’s 1985 C10

Speaking of Dino's, here's some pics from that trip. This is why I packed the way I did. First fuel stop in Birmingham, we're already working on Robbie's truck lol So Robbie's truck was build in something like 35 days, so some friends of ours opened up their shop in Oklahoma for some...

This is why I had to elongate the upper hole, the bags wouldn't sit in the right spot at the bottom It was super close to the pass side shock but it worked out just fine

So that puts us around September of last year-ish. We went to C10 Nationals in Nashville at the beginning of October and since C10 Fall Revival was cancelled, I had about 3 weeks till I had to hit the road across the country to Dino's Git Down. I rode out with Robbie and Rocky from United by...

So at that point, I was getting ready for SouthEastern Truck Nationals and decided to get the AC going. Got all my parts in, got lines made, pulled a vacuum, started filling it and it was working. Then something popped and let all the magic out :concentrate: So I said fuck it and was gonna roll...

So then I moved onto putting the passenger battery tray in it and making my new intake tube. SloshTubz battery trays, some 4" exhaust tubing, some elbows and T-clamps. I decided to paint it GM Light Blue Metallic to match the light blue outside, but I'm gonna end up painting it back...

All bolted up. Then moved onto the bundle of snakes along the driver's inner fender I hid the accessory fuse box under the battery tray, depinned/labeled/lengthen/shortened all the wires till they played nice and loomed it all with braided loom and tape. Also had to re-jigger my intake...

    Huck’s 1985 C10

Drove it like that for a good long while and then the water pump started leaking. So I took that opportunity to upgrade to an L99 Camaro pump with an '06 Corvette upper hose and also clean up some of the wiring while I was there To clear the Camaro's water neck, you have to trim the Alt/PS...

SloshTubz vs OE. I was rubbing like a MOFO with the 255/40s (like, the tires would STOP on a big enough bump on the highway and smoke ) and now I could probably clear 315/35s if not 335/30s up front now.

Not long after I did the bed floor, I did the SloshTubz install. I went with his Mild AC tubs since I'm retaining the factory AC. Install woulda been great if he'd remembered to give me the template for the fenders lol. No biggie, just had to sneak up on it. You've gotta trim this peace out...

Your vehicles as they sit now!

Picked up the new daily last Saturday, '17 Sport with 71k miles. 3.92s, big tank, factory bedliner/bed lighting, heated/cooled leather, heated wheel, adjustable pedals, Alpine stereo, in floor cubbies/load flat floor in the back, heavy duty factory mats, tinted side windows. Bone stock other...

Your vehicles as they sit now!

Been a while since I've been here lol. Camry got sold to a coworker after the reman engine popped a headgasket, picked up a loaded '14 Fusion with the 2.0 EcoBoost to daily, sold the white ECSB Z71 and still have the C10.

So that was in October, around Xmas Holley had their bed mats on sale, so I scooped one of those and trimmed it to fit. This is a SUPER nice, HEAVY mat. Well worth $100

Other than that minor hiccup though, it went back together fairly smooth. Took me about 3 days after work. All back together. I love how factory it looks, a lot of people don't even realize it (even with the floor being black). The plan eventually is to bed line inside with a dark blue...

    Huck’s 1985 C10

I wanted to clean/paint the chassis and raptor line the bottom of the bedline the bottom of the bed during all this but didn't have enough time. We were crunching to get it done for C10 Fall Revival last October so I just degreased/pressure washed everything while it was apart. Look right...

    Huck’s 1985 C10

I rode around just like that for a good while. Then the next thing was swapping in our prototype bed floor that's already made for our 4" wider tubs that we've been selling for a couple years now. It's so nice having access to all sorts of equipment lol Getting one of these apart is no big...

    Huck’s 1985 C10

Not even any corrosion in the drain channels, just crud. I was amazed. Forgot to take a picture of just the Kilmat, but this is everything down. I went up as far as I could up the firewall with everything and up the back cab panels, on the B-pillars, everywhere I could stick some. Put several...

    Huck’s 1985 C10

So I drove it around like that for a good while and started collecting stuff to do sound deadener/heat shield in the truck. Ended up doing a double layer of 50mil Kilmat and then 150mil Noice closed cell foam. That with some new door seals made such a difference that I want louder mufflers now...

R Right around this same time, I ordered some of the United Pacific LED tail lights. My originals were faded BAD and turns out, the truck was repainted at some point and they painted dark blue right over the reflectors :julian: I'd only had them on for a couple weeks and noticed moisture inside...

Next, I swapped the nasty ole step bumper for a sport bumper. We were developing the brackets and needed to test fit them anyway. Can't remember why I had the 20s back off at this point Checking fitment and trying to decide if I was gonna tuck it or not Decided to not tuck it. I hate how...

So after the test fit was done, I ordered up some tires from Tony. Ended up going with some Toyo Proxes tires in a 255/40 and a 315/35. They didn't have matching ones in stock so the fronts are Proxes Sports and the rears are Proxes 4S. Close enough to not bother me.
