Colorado road trip

over the weekend, my best friend got married...and i was to be the best man. so packed up my bags...and road tripped it.

stopping in New mexico. they looked at my truck like it was a flying saucer lol

when i got to the groom's house colorado springs, they weren't home yet. so i ran to get some lunch

they rented a log cabin setting bed and breakfast

the place was awesome

i got the whole downstairs of "the arc"

morning of the wedding...breakfast!

spend the morning and afternoon setting everything up...

and then getting the groom, myself, and the groomsmen ready..

BOOM. married.

after the wedding,....after the reception...we all wind down a bit.

next morning....i'm out again

selfie on the way back thru new mexico (if you've been on this stretch of road, you realize there's NOTHING out there)

i start getting tired and stop in abiline to get a hotel room at America's Best inn. THIS place was a slum. i pack up and relocate to comfort inn down the highway.

on the way home, i notice that i have PLOWED thru the bug population in west texas

finally home! one way:

i relax for a bit and said hi to my dogs...

then head outside to take a survey of the truck

JESUS. did i miss ANY bugs?! truck is terrible. covered in road grim, bugs, sap, and some bubble gum. so i give it some much needed TLC.

when i was travelling down the south side of raton pass, i watched it improve .4 % lol. i also spent 80% of the trip over 80mph

i fucking hate getting bugs off the front of the truck,

did you soak it a few times, or use some form of a APC

i use waterless wash spray to loosen, then spray again after a bit and wipe then wash. or spray waterless wash to loosen and use pressure washer.

exactly. i hit it with the waterless to soak while i prepped my buckets. came off fairly easily.
